making all things new.

As a Girl Scout, we learned to “make new friends and keep the old”. There’s even a fancy song that we all sang, probably in harmony around a bonfire at some point.  Ironically, this is a philosophy that I’ve unintentionally … Continue reading

my one month anniversary.

As I sit, perched on a perfect chair-like structure made of large rocks, couples stroll leisurely passed me, hand in hand, smiling and laughing in the morning sunlight.  Dogs playfully wander between the ocean and the stone-filled hillside, enjoying freedom … Continue reading

gratitude in two-thousand-fourteen

Two-thousand-fourteen began with a bazaar anticipation of all the opportunities I would have to write the number 4. There is simply something about writing it that brings me joy – so I suppose, I’m a little sad to see 2014 go. … Continue reading

free gifts

The God that I have come to know, and long to know more, is one of extravagant love and grace.  In my recent move to California, I have found myself in a place of tremendous vulnerability.  With this, I am learning … Continue reading
